Edition's theme: Broadband Multimedia Communications

The theme for the 2009/10 edition of the MAP-tele doctoral program, Broadband Multimedia Communication is an important field that reflects the impact of multimedia on todays communications.

The communications techniques required to enable wired and wireless broadband networks are addressed. The transport of multimedia information over such broadband networks, the coding of multimedia information, and the impact multimedia information will have on the definition of future networks are topics to be addressed in the 2009/2010 MAP-TELE edition.
