MAP-i Summer School on
Exploiting Multicore and Accelerator Systems: programming and applications
Universidade do Minho, Braga, Portugal
25-27 June, 2014
Announcement
The organization of computer systems have evolved in way that programmers are now able to explore heterogeneous platforms with multicore devices coupled with many-core and GPU accelerators with thousands of simpler cores. This is a computation power that naturally fits the eager demands from many scientific applications, however its efficient use is far from simple. This school is planned and led jointly by Alberto Proença and Keshav Pingali who will invite prominent experts from UT-Austin, both at CS Department and TACC, and from leading industries (NVidia, Intel, AMD) to provide a set of lecturers covering from programming foundations, to development tools and applications with particular emphasis on the areas promoted by the program. An invited speaker who already accepted the invitation is Mary Hall, from Utah.
Registration: By email to Luís Paulo Santos until the 8th of June. Please note that attendance is free but registration is mandatory.
