To enter the doctoral programme, the applicant  must satisfy the conditions established in the national legislation, in the corresponding entrance requirements and, in particular, to respect at least one of the following criteria:

• To hold a Master degree or a second cycle degree in Physics, Physics Engineering, Applied Physics, Meteorology and Oceanography, Astronomy, Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, or related areas.
• To hold an undergraduate degree, preferably a 4 year degree, at least, from a national or foreign university institution, that is recognised as appropriate by the Scientific Commission of the Programme (this applies to candidates with degrees awarded before the new Bologna scheme had been implemented).
• To hold a professional of scientific curriculum that is considered relevant and appropriate by the Scientific Commission.

The candidates should both speak and write fluently in English.
